Andrew Perkins, Senior Lecturer at TBLS, has been invited to sit on the Advisory Committee of the Cayman Islands Arbitration Centre to work together with interested parties and draft CIAC Rules and model arbitration clauses.

Andrew brings extensive experience of Alternative Dispute Resolution to TBLS having been a member of the litigation team in Dallah Real Estate and Tourism Holding Company v The Ministry of Religious Affairs Government of Pakistan 2010 UKSC46 and having taught Dispute Resolution for a number of years on the Bar Professional Training Course.

Recognising the importance of ADR as a vital tool in the dispute resolution process, TBLS has incorporated Arbitration, Mediation and Negotiation sessions within the Professional Practice Course and from next year will launch a new undergraduate module in Dispute Resolution to equip developing lawyers with the vital skills required to perform in a cost effective and innovative manner both inside and outside of the Courtroom.
